Minimum Age Requirement

Students must be at least 18 years of age on or before the start of the program they wish to enter. Exceptions may apply to students participating in group programs.

When to Apply

• It is best to apply at least 12 weeks before your program starts to allow enough time for us to process your application and for you to make your visa and travel arrangements. There is a minimum of 6 weeks prior to program start date.
• Please make sure that your application materials are accurate and complete; this will help us process your documents quickly.

Application Fee (required)

There is an Application Fee of $150 per application. The Application Fee is prepaid, nonrefundable, and due at the time of application.

Rush Application Fee
Applications received within two weeks of the program start date will be charged a $100 Rush Application Processing Fee and will only be accepted on a space-available basis.

Prior to Arrival

Prior to arrival, you will receive a letter of acceptance, the I-20 Form, and a pre-arrival information booklet.

Late Arrival

Students arriving late (after the program start date) for their program will be charged a $100 Late Arrival Fee.

Orientation

Prior to the first day of class, students will receive a comprehensive orientation to academic and student life, including:

• Welcome and orientation to the program
• Safety, insurance, immigration, activities, and housing information
• Free bus pass/student ID card upon arrival

Certificates

UCSB Extension certificates are awarded upon successful participation and completion of a program.
