Cancelled and Discontinued Courses
|
UCSB Extension reserves the right to cancel or discontinue any
of its courses. These decisions are generally based on financial
circumstances related to UCSB Extension's fee-supported basis.
For Weekend and Short Courses: A decision is made whether
to conduct most weekend and short courses approximately four working
days in advance of the course start date. The decision is based
on the number of paid enrollments on hand at that time and the
actual costs associated with conducting the course. When there
are insufficient enrollments, it may be necessary to cancel the
course in advance. If this occurs, pre-enrolled students are notified
and fees are automatically refunded.
For Multiple-Session Courses: The decision whether to conduct
the course is generally made four days prior to first class meeting.
In some cases, the decision is made at the first class meeting.
The decision is based on the number of paid enrollments on hand
at that time and the actual costs associated with conducting the
course. When there are insufficient enrollments, the course may
be discontinued. When this occurs, fees are automatically refunded.
