3+1

3+1 prepares international college students for future graduate study. Students will spend their final year at UCSB to get study abroad experience and to prepare for applying to a US graduate program. Students will take courses alongside UCSB matriculated students, and earn UC units to transfer to their home university bachelor's degree, and possibly future graduate programs.

  • Academic coursework: earn UC undergraduate or graduate academic units from a variety of disciplines to transfer back to your home university.
  • English language coursework: Academic English courses and GRE preparation courses to help you with improving academic language skills and preparing the graduate application process.
  • Professional coursework: Specialize in areas such as Business, Project Management, Marketing, among other subjects. Get more practical skills and increase the chance to get a job after finishing this program.
